Vacation Stories is an adaptation of Santiago Ramón y Cajal’s anthology of speculative science fiction tales that reveal the lesser-known, wildly imaginative side of the Nobel Prize-winning neuroscientist. Written during his summer breaks as a form of intellectual escape, these stories explore microscopic worlds, dream machines, and psychic experiments—merging scientific inquiry with eerie fantasy. In this adaptation, the boundaries between empiricism and imagination dissolve, giving rise to a surreal cinematic universe where curiosity becomes the catalyst for transformation.
